WELCOME TO TERM 3

We would like to warmly welcome all our learners and parents into the 3rd term of the 2016 academic year. We would like to compliment all our learners who performed well in the 2nd term final assessments and encourage them to improve on their current level of performance.

We would like to urge those learners who failed to meet the minimum requirements to work hard this term and reach the required level of achievement in all learning areas.

To our parents and teachers who assisted our learners with dedication, thank you for your hard work and commitment.

PARENTS EVENING (REMINDER)

All parents are invited to the parents evening to be held today, 21 July 2016 at 16:00-18:30. It is compulsory for at least one parent/guardian to attend as educators will discuss your child’s academic performance.

MANDELA DAY-PROJECT (22 JULY 2016)

All learners and staff members will get together to clean up the school on Friday, 22 July 2016. Parents who are interested in joining can contact Thabo at reception to give in their details for safety and control purposes. The clean-up will take place on Friday from 10h15. Learners will be required to come to school in old clothes, suitable for cleaning, and will be required to bring books for the periods until cleaning commences. Learners are encouraged to bring buckets, plastic containers, rubber gloves and rag cloths.

FAMILY FUN DAY

The preparations for the Midrand Primary School Family Fun day are underway and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better with loads of entertainment for all. This event will be held on 10 September 2016.

SPORTING ACTIVITIES TERM 3

Parents are to take note of the sporting codes their children are involved in this term. We encourage you to support your children and to also ensure that necessary transport arrangements are made to collect your children on practice days and match days. The following sporting codes are being played this term: Cross Country, Gymnastics and Rugby.
Sports days are on Wednesday and Thursday from 13:30 to 14:30.

GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

The gymnasts will be taking part in the Alberton Twisters Competition on Saturday, 23 July 2016. We wish them all the best in their participation.

LATE COMING AND FETCHING OF LEARNERS

Please note that every time a learner is late, he/she will be issued with a demerit and accumulation of three demerits will be a detention. A third detention will result in suspension.
Parents are also requested to make arrangements with their transport drivers to collect their children on time.

The school starting times are as follows:
• FOUNDATION PHASE (GRADE 1-3)
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday- 07:45
Thursday and Friday- 07:30

• INTERSEN PHASE (Garde4-7)
Monday-Tuesday- 07h45
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday- 07:30

SCHOOL FEE’S

All parents are requested to ensure their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office in cash, debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account.
