GRADE 7 MARKET DAY

The Grade 7 learners will be having their Market Day tomorrow, Friday, 02 September 2016. This is an event aimed at planting entrepreneurial skills in our learners. We would like to appeal to all our parents to support the event by giving their children some extra pocket money. Learners will also be allowed to wear civvies at no cost, to celebrate spring day and support the grade 7 Market Day.

GRADE 4-7 CYCLE TESTS

Parents are reminded to ensure that their children are well- prepared for the cycle tests which will begin on Monday, 05 September 2016 and conclude on Tuesday, 13 September 2016. Learners are advised to prepare adequately and in advance so that optimum results are achieved.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
2We wish to congratulate the following grade 7 learners for winning the Midrand Cluster level of “Battle of the Books” competition. Bophelo Mooti, Masindi Masikhwa, Nicole Tshabalala, Karen Mandishona, Mary-Jane Pandaram, Lesedi Makitla, Yolisa Bolani and Nande Nqeto. The competition required learners to read 12 novels and were questioned on these set of books. We wish to extend our gratitude to Mr Govender, Mrs Pillay, Mrs Craggs and Mrs Nayager for their assistance in achieving these results. We are confident that our learners will do us proud for the next level.

 

YO-TV APPREARANCE

Following her very good performance during at the National Eisteddfod, Lebogang Baqwa and Mr Jokozela were invited to showcase her monologue, ’12 Years Wise’ during the YO-TV Talent Monday held at Urban Brew Studios on Monday, 29 August 2016. Well done on her achievement.

OVERNIGHT EXCURSIONS

Parents are urged to make payments for camp as the closing date for payments are nearing. Please ensure that school fees are updated to avoid disappointment. Please note that the cut-off date for payments is 02 September 2016.

FAMILY FUN DAY

DSCF7958We are 10 days away from our annual Family Fun Day and our new partnership with Nedbank promises to add more fun and excitement to the event, under the theme Drugs End All Dreams. We will have a 5 km fun run, a dance and singing competition, dads and lads mini soccer tournament, moms and daughters mini netball tournament and a variety of rides, jumping castles and slides.

We urge parents to show up in their numbers, to raise awareness and promote drug free living to the community of Midrand. Stalls will be available to parents at a cost of R500.

The entrance fee for 2016 is R60.00 per person. To avoid long queues on the day of the event, we encourage that payment be made to the class teacher.

All parents are requested to ensure their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office in cash, debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account.
