This past Saturday, all of our athletes that qualified from the inter-schools went to Germiston Stadium to take part in the district athletics competition. We left the school premises at around 07:00am and arrived there just before 08:00am. We picked a lovely sitting spot on the stands, away from the sun, but because the weather was so lovely, we didn’t experience problems. It was actually good weather to have athletics in, very cool.
We had some parents and siblings take time to come and support us on the day. This encouraged our athletes to put more effort in their performances. Of all these athletes, we had about 7 of them who got position 1 and/or 2 in their respective events. To the learners who did not make it to provincial level, you tried very hard but keep in mind that there is always a next time.
To the following learners, congratulations. The provincials await you.
