FANTASIA

The school will host the annual Fantasia event on Friday, 19 May 2017 at a cost of R60 per learner. We encourage all learners to participate in this exciting event. Learners are requested to bring books to school for the first 4 periods. The fun activities will commence at 11:00 and end at 14:30. There will be food, cool drinks, sweets and tons of entertainment for everyone.

 

PARENT’S WORKSHOP

We are pleased to invite all parents to attend a Parenting Workshop to be held at the Midrand Primary School Hall on Wednesday, 24 May 2017 (18:00-19:00). The workshop will address the topics, “parenting in the 21st century as well as raising respectful children and helping children to succeed at school.” Kindly avail yourself for this enlightening learning experience.

 

STAFFING

Please note that Mr Itumeleng Modisakeng has resigned from his post as music instructor. We wish him all the best in his new endeavours. We welcome Mr Tshepo Mutswe who will be the music instructor.

 

RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2018

The re-registration period has closed. Parents who have not yet submitted the re-registration forms are urged to do so immediately as this means your child has not secured a place at Midrand Primary school in 2018.

 

TEATRO ARTI EISTEDDFOD COMPETITION

The art learners participated in the Teatro Arti Eisteddfod competition that was held in Boksburg. Our learners performed very well and attained the following results:

Mvano Tutshana 90%, Mbuso Masinda 92%, Tiyani Mukansi 94%, Ofentse Tshabalala 95%, Andiphile Guzana 88%, Mukundi Mwendmutshu 88%, Oarabile Manaka 94% and Deliverance Mazambara 92%.

 

EDUCATIONAL DAY TRIPS FOR TERM 2

  • Grade 4:

The grade 4 learners will be going on a day trip to the Cradle of Humankind (Maropeng) on 02 June 2017. The cost is R 180.00.

 

  • Grade 5:

The grade 5 learners will be going on a day trip to Gold Reef City on 29 June 2017 at a cost of R240.

 

  • Grade 6:

The grade 6 learners will be going on a day trip to the Apartheid Museum and Mandela House, Vilakazi St in Soweto on 27 June 2017. The cost is R200.00.

 

FETCHING OF LEARNERS

Parents are requested to make appropriate transport arrangements to collect their children on time or make use of the after care facilities. Learners should not be left unsupervised on the school premises. The school will not be liable for incidents that take place after stipulated school hours.

 

SCHOOL FEES

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
