PARENT’S WORKSHOP

The Management Team and Governing body of the school wish to extend their gratitude to all the parents who attended the workshop yesterday evening. We wish to inform the parents that Dr Tracey Stewart conducted the workshop to the parent’s pro-bono and would like our assistance in her mission to promote literacy at a needy school that her organisation supports. On her behalf, we ask parents of Midrand Primary to donate any books or magazines that they no longer use and are still in a good condition, so she may pass them on to the school. Learners can submit the books to the school media centre. The donation will be collected from Monday, 29 May 2017 to Friday, 09 June 2017. Your support will be highly appreciated.

PROVINCIAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

Shailesh Sookdeo, Musawenkosi Masinda and Himalan Govender participated in the Cluster round of the Science Olympiad. We are pleased to announce that the learners will be proceeding to the District round in June. We wish the learners all the best.

FETCHING OF LEARNERS

Parents are requested to make appropriate transport arrangements to collect their children on time or make use of the after care facilities. Learners should not be left unsupervised on the school premises. The school will not be liable for incidents that take place after stipulated school hours.

WINTER CHARITY DRIVE

We are collecting non-perishable food items (e.g. sealed packets of soup, pasta, rice, canned foods etc.) toiletries, warm clothes and blankets. This is your opportunity to pledge your support as we once again open our hearts and lend a helping hand to charities that look after destitute children, children with special needs and orphanages. The hand over to the charities will happen on 23 June 2017.
