BOOK AND MAGAZINE COLLECTION

Dr Tracey Stewart, who conducted the parent’s workshop, would like our assistance in her mission to promote literacy at a needy school that her organisation supports. On her behalf, we ask parents of Midrand Primary to donate any books or magazines that they no longer use and are still in a good condition, so she may pass them on to the school. Learners can submit the books to the school media centre until Friday, 09 June 2017. Your support will be highly appreciated.

PYJAMA DAY

Midrand Primary will host the annual Pyjama Day on Thursday, 15 June 2017. Learners must dress neatly in winter pyjamas. The cost per learner is R20, which is to be paid to form teachers.

BASWA LE METSE COMPETETION

On Friday, 26 May 2017, our school participated in the Baswa Le Metse competition. We wish to congratulate Deliverance Mazambara, and the drama group made up of Annie Murinda, Ntando Dalindyebo, Ndivho Hlungwani, Lwandle Ngcobo, Samila Ntlebi, Sekulungile Majola and Senzangakhona Maphanga, who represented the school in art and drama categories. We are pleased to announce that the learners will be proceeding to the Provincial round next Friday, 09 June 2017. We wish the learners well for the upcoming competition.

WINTER CHARITY DRIVE

We are collecting non-perishable food items (e.g. sealed packets of soup, pasta, rice, canned foods etc.) toiletries, warm clothes and blankets. This is your opportunity to pledge your support as we once again open our hearts and lend a helping hand to charities that look after destitute children, children with special needs and orphanages. The hand over to the charities will happen on 23 June 2017.

IMPACT RECYCLING

Parents are asked to assist in our recycling campaign by sending old paper with their children via the little bag on Fridays. Learners are encouraged to dispose of those into the Green Ronnie Bank situated on the middle field.
