Due to the strike action on Thursday, the half-year exams have been postponed to the dates indicated below:

FOUNDATION PHASE ROAD SAFETY SHOW
There will be a show for learners in the foundation phase about road safety on Wednesday (8am), 21 June 2017 at a cost of R25.

OLIFANTSFONTIEN SOCCER AND NETBALL TOURNAMENT
On Saturday, 10 June 2017, two soccer teams and two netball teams represented our school at the Olifantsfontien soccer and netball tournament. The boys u/12 team placed 4th, the girl’s u/12 team placed 3rd, while the both u/13 boys and girls placed 1st. We wish to congratulate all the learners.
BASWA LE METSE COMPETETION
On Friday, 09 June 2017, our school participated in the Baswa Le Metse Provincial round competition. We are pleased to announce and congratulate Deliverance Mazambara for attaining second position in the poster category.
POSTPONEMENT OF PYJAMA DAY
Due to the strike action on Thursday, Pyjama Day will take place on Friday, 23 June 2017. Learners must dress neatly in winter pyjamas. Doughnuts will also be on sale at a cost of R5.
GIRLS HEALTH TALK BY “ALWAYS”
The Grade 6 & 7 girls will attend an informative talk between 12H30 -13H30 on Thursday 22 June 2017. The talk will focus on feminine hygiene and self-confidence.
EDUCATIONAL DAY TRIPS FOR TERM 2
- Grade 5:
The grade 5 learners will be going on a day trip to Gold Reef City on 29 June 2017 at a cost of R240. Last date for payment is 22 June 2017.
- Grade 6:
The grade 6 learners will be going on a day trip to the Apartheid Museum and Mandela House, Vilakazi St in Soweto on 27 June 2017. The cost is R200.00. Last date for payment is 20 June 2017.
Note that these dates are non-negotiable.
WINTER CHARITY DRIVE
We are collecting non-perishable food items (e.g. sealed packets of soup, pasta, rice, canned foods etc.) toiletries, warm clothes and blankets. This is your opportunity to pledge your support as we once again open our hearts and lend a helping hand to charities that look after destitute children, children with special needs and orphanages. The hand over to the charities will happen on 23 June 2017.
All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
