The school will be celebrating Heritage Day on Friday, 23 September 2017. Learners are to come to school strictly in their traditional attire at no cost.

 

HERITAGE DAY LONG WEEKEND

Please note that on Monday, 25 September 2017 is a public holiday. Learners will only return to school on Tuesday, 26 September 2017. We wish everyone a joyful and safe long weekend.

 

RE-REGISTRATION

Please note that learners received re-registration forms last Thursday. The due date for submission of the forms will be on or before Thursday, (28 September 2017). Last date for re-registration payment of R1000 will be Tuesday 31 October 2017. Please note that should we not receive confirmation of the learners returning, we will replace your child with someone on the waiting list.

 

OVERNIGHT EXCURSIONS

Learners will be leaving for various campsites from Monday, 25 September 2017. We urge parents to finalise and return the indemnity forms as no learner will be allowed to travel without these forms. Please note that learners in grades 4 to 6 should report to school at normal school time on their departure date, however, grade 7 learners will be leaving on Monday at 06:15 am.

 

STEEL LOCKERS

Learners will be required to empty their steel lockers by Friday, 22 September 2017. No textbooks or exercise books may be left in the lockers over the school holidays.

 

LOST TEXTBOOKS

Parents will receive letters with regards to lost/damaged textbooks. A reminder that textbooks are school property and parents are accountable as the loan form that they signed at the beginning of the year. Parents are urged to pay for the lost textbooks before the end of the term.

 

ABSENTEEISM

We are finding a high amount of absenteeism in the school. Please note that normal teaching and learning is continuing until the last school day. Please ensure that all learners are at school. Only a doctors certificate will be accepted for absenteeism.

 

SUMMER UNIFORM

Due to the warm weather lately, we urge all learners to wear their summer uniform.

 

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

We will be closing for Term three school holidays on Friday, 29 September 2017 and school will re-open for Term four on Monday, 09 October 2017. The report cards for Term 3 will be issued out to learners and parents at 10H00 and learners will be released at 10H00. Learners, who will be away on camp, will receive their report cards when they return from camp. Parents must make transport arrangements accordingly.

 

PARENTS EVENING

All parents are invited to the parents evening to be held on the 12 October 2017 from 16h00-19h00. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss leaner performance in Term three, intervention strategies and set performance targets for Term four. We call upon all the parents to be actively involved in their children’s education. Attendance is compulsory as pertinent issues relating to each learner will be discussed.

 

SCHOOL FEE’S

All parents are requested to ensure their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office in cash, debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account.
