WELCOME TO TERM 4!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our learners and parents to the concluding term of the 2017 academic year. We thank you for your continued support. We advise parents and learners that this is a short term and we wish you all the best for this term.

 

FINAL PARENT’S EVENING

Our termly Parent’s Evening will be held today, 12 October 2017 from 4-7pm. Please note that it is compulsory for at least one or both parents/guardians to attend this meeting to set academic targets for your child. Educators will discuss the progress of your child as well as intervention strategies if need be.

 

RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2018

Last date for re-registration payment of R1000 will be Tuesday 31 October 2017. Please note that should we not receive confirmation of the learners returning, we will replace your child with someone on the waiting list.

 

RE-TEACHING CLASSES

Please take note that re-teaching classes will take place on Wednesdays from 13H30- 14H30 for Mathematics and on Thursdays at the same time for English. These classes will begin on Wednesday, 18 October 2017. Kindly make transport arrangements for your child/ward.

 

LEBONE FESTIVAL

Our school Drama Club will be hosting its third annual MIDRAND LEBONE SCHOOLS PLAY FESTIVAL. Monologues, verse speaking, dramatised poems, plays and storytelling are some of the categories that will be showcased on the day. Our school will be joined by Midrand High School, Summerhill College and Noordwyk Secondary School. Entrance fee is R10 for learners and R20 Parents. The festival will take place on the 21st October 2017 at 8am-2pm.

 

GYM GAMES RESULTS

On Saturday, 07 October 2017, the nine gymnasts who were selected for the Gym Games went to Pretoria North for the competition. The results are as follows:

Bokamoso Rantso received a silver medal, making her the second best tumbler in the country for 2017 in her age category. Oletilwe Modise received a gold medal, making him the best tumbler in the country for 2017 in his age category. Congratulations to all the participants. They did exceptionally well and we are proud of them.

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO MS. MAZIBUKO

The Staff and learners of Midrand Primary school congratulates Ms. Mazibuko on her promotion as Deputy Principal at Takalani LSEN School in Soweto. You will be missed immensely. All the best for your future endeavours.

 

FETCHING OF LEARNERS

Parents are requested to make appropriate transport arrangements to collect their children on time or make use of the after care facilities. Learners should not be left unsupervised on the school premises. The school will not be liable for incidents that take place after stipulated school hours.

 

LUS VIR LEES ROAD SHOW- GRADE 4-7

Is your child struggling with Afrikaans? We invite your child to attend the Lus vir lees Road show on 23 October 2017 at 1pm at the school hall. The cost is R20. This show will assist in developing your child’s Afrikaans language skills. Monies will be collected by Afrikaans educators.

 

SCHOOL FEES

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
