RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2018
The last date for re-registration payment of R1000 will be Tuesday 31 October 2017. Please note that should we not receive confirmation of the learners returning, we will replace your child with someone on the waiting list.
Learners received letters last week pertaining to the AGM to be held on the 9th of November 2017 at 18:00 sharp. It is in the interest of parents whose children are returning to Midrand Primary next year to be present at the meeting.
NUTRIDAY COMPETITION RESULTS
Ms. Lesufi was accompanied by ten learners who competed against four other schools in the Nutriday Robotics building competition on 13 October 2017 held in Centurion. Learners performed well and came in second place. Congratulations and thanks to Ms. Lesufi and her team for all their hard work.
Please be advised that learners from Grade 4-7 will commence with their Final Exams from the 13th of November 2017 to the 24th of November 2017. Please ensure that all learners’ books are updated and that they are adequately prepared.
Please take note that re-teaching classes will take place on Wednesdays from 13H30- 14H30 for Mathematics and on Thursdays at the same time for English. These classes will begin on Wednesday, 18 October 2017. For Grade 4-6, English Re-teaching classes remain on Wednesdays from 13:30-14:30. Kindly make transport arrangements for your child/ward.
Our school Drama Club will be hosting its third annual MIDRAND LEBONE SCHOOLS PLAY FESTIVAL. Monologues, verse speaking, dramatised poems, plays and storytelling are some of the categories that will be showcased on the day. Our school will be joined by Midrand High School, Summerhill College and Noordwyk Secondary School. Entrance fee is R10 for learners and R20 Parents. The festival will take place on the 21st October 2017 at 9am-3pm.
LUS VIR LEES ROAD SHOW- GRADE 4-7
Is your child struggling with Afrikaans? We invite your child to attend the Lus vir lees Road show on 23 October 2017 at 1pm at the school hall. The cost is R20. This show will assist in developing your child’s Afrikaans language skills. Monies will be collected by Afrikaans educators.
SMART WATCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED AT SCHOOL
Learners are not allowed to wear or bring to school Smart watches. This is mainly for safety and security reasons. These devices will be confiscated and returned to parents if it is found in learner’s possession.
All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
