INTER-SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Learners who have been selected for the Inter-school Athletics will participate next week Friday, 16 February 2018 at Halfway House primary school. Learners must be attired in their PE kit, carry healthy lunches and a water bottle as well as a cap for sun protection. We wish our athletes all the best.

 

APPOINTMENTS: PARENTS TO REPORT TO RECEPTION

Parents are not to meet with teachers during contact time nor move directly to the class before reporting to reception first. Parents are advised to make appointments before/after school for meeting with educators, through the child’s diary. No parent will be seen without an appointment.

 

COLLECTION OF EXEMPTION FORMS

Parents who wish to apply for school fees exemption are advised to collect application forms from the credit control office, complete and return to school. The application period will close on Wednesday, 28 February 2018. Kindly note that no applications will be accepted after the closing date.

 

MEDICAL CONSENT FORMS

Learners received medical consent forms yesterday. Parents are requested to read and complete these forms. Ensure that you indicate if you consent to the health checks and vaccine administration. Forms must be submitted to the class teacher by Friday, 09 February 2018.

 

VALENTINES DAY CIVVIES & DOUGHNUTS

Learners will be allowed to dress in civvies on 14 February 2018 at a cost of R15. They will also receive a doughnut. They can also purchase an additional doughnut at a cost of R5. Monies are payable to the class teacher no later than Monday, 12 February 2018.

 

LATE COMING AND FETCHING OF LEARNERS

Please note that every time a learner is late, he/she will be issued with a demerit and accumulation of three demerits will be a detention. A third detention will result in suspension.

Parents are also requested to make arrangements with their transport operators to collect their children on time. Learners must be fetched from the demarcated parking bays. This is a must and is non-negotiable.

 

PREFECT LEADERSHIP CAMP

Grade 6 and 7 prefects will be attending the prefect leadership camp from 21-23/02/2018 at Camp Discovery, Dinokeng (Pretoria). Parents are reminded to prepare adequately.

 

URGENT APPEAL

There are learners who still do not have the compulsory school diary. All parents are reminded that all learners should have the compulsory school diary. The school diary is available at the finance office for R50. There are a few learners that have not submitted the necessary stationery. Parents are requested to urgently send through these necessities.

 

USE OF THE CORRECT SCHOOL UNIFORM

Parents are instructed to ensure that learners are attired with the correct and complete school uniform as indicated on pages 5-7 of the school diary. This is compulsory and we expect full cooperation in this regard.

Please note that Grade 1 learners are released at 13:00 daily. All parents and learners are reminded that punctuality is a must and non-negotiable, and we expect maximal cooperation in this regard.

 

SCHOOL FEES

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
