We wish to congratulate four educators from Midrand Primary school who were nominated to represent the school in the 18th Annual National Teaching Awards. These are the results announced at the award ceremonies:

Mr. EK. Kgaabi Excellence in primary school leadership. 1st position in Gauteng.

2nd position Nationally.

Mr. NS. Govender Excellence in primary school teaching. 2nd Position in Gauteng.
Ms. ME. Lesufi Excellence in science and technology teaching. 2nd position in Gauteng.
Mrs. CM. Meyer Excellence in special needs teaching. 2nd position in Gauteng.

Congratulations to these educators who work tirelessly and always go the extra mile.

 

INTER-SCHOOL ATHLETICS 2018

We would like to thank all learners and educators who represented us well at the Inter-school athletics held at Halfway House primary school last week Friday. Learners did well in many of the events. 23 of our athletes will represent the Midrand Cluster in the District competitions to be held on 24 February 2018 in Soweto.

 

SGB ELECTIONS 2018

Learners received letters regarding the nominations and elections of parent members of the School Governing Body to be held on 08 March 2018 at 18:00 in the School Hall. We implore all parents to participate in this important meeting and also to avail their expertise and time to benefit the school community.

 

GRADE 4-7 CYCLE TESTS – TERM 1

Parents are informed that the cycle tests will begin on 09-16 March 2018. These tests will cover the content of term one and parents are therefore urged to ensure that learners are suitably prepared.

 

SPEECH AND DRAMA CLUB

We would like to congratulate a former speech and drama learner from our school, Naledi Rerayi, for obtaining a role on SABC 2’s new drama series “GUILT” which will be broadcast every Wednesday at 21:30, starting from 28 February 2018. This is proof that becoming involved in the Drama Club at school is worthwhile.

 

USE OF THE CORRECT SCHOOL UNIFORM

Parents are instructed to ensure that learners are attired with the correct and complete school uniform as indicated on pages 5-7 of the school diary. This is compulsory and we expect full cooperation in this regard.

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit cards or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
