SGB ELECTIONS 2018

We would like to thank and congratulate all the parents who are now members of the SGB. We look forward to working with you as a school. Thank you for your involvement in your child’s education.

 

ATHLETICS 2018 – NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

On 16 March 2018, Aviwe Mqokolo ran his 200m race and won a gold medal, making him the national champion for 2018. The following day, he ran his 100m race but only made it to the semi-finals due to an injury, and could not go on any further. We would like to congratulate Aviwe for this outstanding achievement and his new title. We are proud of you and we support you. All the best for the future!

 

NORMAL TEACHING & LEARNING

Please note that normal teaching and learning will continue until the end of the school term. Learners must be present on a daily basis and bring along the necessary books.

 

JOBURG THEATRE ARTS AND CULTURE FESTIVAL 2018

Our arts learners participated in the Johannesburg Theatre Arts and Culture Festival/Exam 2018.

The Speech and Drama results are as follows: Anele Ngwane and Zizo Sobutyu presented a Classical duet titled: “The Brighton Beach Memoirs” and obtained symbol (B) which is rated between 70 – 74%. The Choral Verse Speaking titled: “COME WITH US” was performed by Anele Ngwane, Ndivho Hlungwane, Lwandle Ngcobo, Onam Sithole, Sibusisiwe Gama, Kuhlekonke Nzimande, Ngwanatheko Nkopodi, Ponelo Nkala and Zizo Sobutyu. They obtained symbol (A: 80-89%). Regarding the music category, the following learners played the Marimba: Reatlegile Mphake, Lesego Bapela, Oluthando Nota, Onkutlwile Khumo, Senzangakhona Maphanga, Mokgethoa Mabusela. They obtained symbol (A) as well. Midrand Primary’s Visual Art representatives and their results were as follows: Nhlanhla Gama obtained (A) for pencil drawings, Nhlanhla Mlangeni obtained an (A+ : 90-100%) in Abstract Art, Simele Nselele abtained (A+) in Pastel drawing, Oabile Moeng abtained (A+) in painting and Lungile Mazibuko got an (A+) in charcoal Art. We are proud of our creative thespians. Keep up the good work! We look forward to watching your work during our school concert.

 

TERM 1 CLOSURE & RE-OPENING

We would like to wish all staff and learners a safe and restful holiday as Term 1 ends on 28 March 2018. Learner’s report cards will be issued at 10am on the last day of school. School will re-open for Term 2 on 10 April 2018.

 

SCHOOL FEES

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
