MPS SCHOOL CONCERT & TALENT SHOW 2018 COUNT DOWN!!!!
Feel it, it is here!!! Tickets are almost sold out! Midrand Primary School is proud to invite all our parents and well-wishers within our community at large to our concert & talent show. An event not to be missed! Come & see your children in action.
There will be a costume rehearsal on Friday, 20 April 2018. Learners must CARRY their clothes to school. Details are as follows:
24 April 2018: Grade 1, 2, 4 & 6
25 April 2018: LSEN, Grade 3, 5 & 7.
Time: 18:00 – 20:00
Entrance fee: Free of charge for the participants and only R20 for non-participants, payable to class teachers before the events. Limited space! First come, first serve! Walala wasala!

On Thursday, 26 April 2018, learners will be allowed to dress in civvies at a cost of R10 as we will be commemorating Freedom Day.

ADMISSION PERIOD 2019
The admission period for new learners for grade 1-7 has commenced on 16 April 2018 and will close on Monday 28 May 2018.
RE-REGISTRATION OF CURRENT LEARNERS
All the current learners who will be studying at Midrand Primary School in 2019 are expected to re-register from 16 April 2018 by filling in the re-registration form, which was issued to learners. Forms must be signed and returned to school before 26/04/2018.
Exciting times are ahead! The school will host the annual Fantasia event on 25 May 2018 at a cost of R60 per learner. Lessons will take place in the morning. The fun activities will commence at 11h00 and end at 14h00. There will be food, cool drinks, sweets and tons of entertainment for everyone.
MATHEMATICS AMESA CHALLENGE
The first round of the 2018 Mathematics AMESA competition will be written in the week of the 7th till 11th of May 2018. Each learner is required to pay a joining fee of R12. The due date for payment is 23/04/2018 for all those participating. The amount is payable to the Mathematics teacher. Learners who will score at least 50% in the first round will qualify for the second round which will take place on the 1st of August 2018. We humbly request that you pay for your child to be part of this developmental competition.
RECYCLING CAMPAIGN – LET’S KEEP OUR SCHOOL CLEAN
We are excited to introduce once again our Recycling Campaign. We request that all parents send in recyclable materials like paper and cardboard boxes to school. We will collect these materials every Tuesday. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and to instil these values in our learners. We aim emphasize the importance of taking care of the environment. This campaign will continue until the end of September. We thank our parents and community in advance for their support.
There will be two codes of sport running this term. Namely, soccer and netball. Learners participating received the information. Parents affected are advised to make the necessary transport arrangements. Chess will also commence next week.
All parents are urged to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
