ADMISSION PERIOD 2019

The admission period for new learners, grade 1-7 has commenced on 16 April 2018 and will close on Monday 28 May 2018.

RE-REGISTRATION OF CURRENT LEARNERS

All the current learners who will be studying at Midrand Primary School in 2019 are expected to re-register from 16 April 2018 by filling in the re-registration form, which was issued to learners. Forms must be signed and returned to school before 26/04/2018.

 

FANTASIA

Exciting times are ahead! The school will host the annual Fantasia event on 25 May 2018 at a cost of R60 per learner. Lessons will take place in the morning. The fun activities will commence at 11h00 and end at 14h00. There will be food, cool drinks, sweets and tons of entertainment for everyone.

 

RECYCLING CAMPAIGN – LET’S KEEP OUR SCHOOL CLEAN

We are excited to introduce once again our Recycling Campaign. We request that all parents send in recyclable materials like paper and cardboard boxes to school. We will collect these materials every Tuesday. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and to instil these values in our learners. We aim to emphasize the importance of taking care of the environment. This campaign will continue until the end of September. We thank our parents and community in advance for their support.

 

ENGLISH AND MATHEMATICS RE-TEACHING FOR GRADE 7 LEARNERS

Kindly note that English re-teaching will take place on Thursday from 13:30-14:30 and Mathematics re-teaching will take place every Wednesday from 13:30-14:30. Parents who are affected are advised to make the necessary transport arrangements for their children.

 

USE OF THE CORRECT SCHOOL UNIFORM

Parents are advised to ensure that learners are appropriately attired for school. Please take into consideration the changing weather as winter is fast approaching. Learners are expected to be attired in full school uniform every day.

 

ASSESSMENTS AND HOMEWORK

Parents are requested to ensure that homework and books are monitored on a daily basis. Learners received assessment plans at the beginning of the term. Ensure that learners are prepared with the necessary resources for the different assessment tasks. As a word of advice, learners should be geared towards studying as the June examinations are a few weeks away.

 

DAY TRIPS AND OVERNIGHT CAMPS

Learners in various grades in the Intermediate and Senior phase received letters regarding day trips and overnight camps. More information will follow soon. Parents are advised to pay the deposits as early as possible to avoid disappointment. No payments will be accepted after the stipulated due dates.

 

SCHOOL FEES

All parents are urged to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
