WELCOME TO TERM 3!

We would like to warmly welcome all our learners, staff and parents to the 3rd term of the 2018 academic year. We would like to compliment all our learners who performed well in Term 2 and encourage them to improve on their current level of performance. We would like to urge those learners who did not meet the minimum requirements to work harder this term and reach the required level of achievement in all learning areas. To our parents and teachers who assisted our learners with dedication – Thank you for your hard work, love and commitment.

 

REMINDER: PARENTS’ EVENING – TERM 3

Parents/guardians are urged to attend Parents’ evening tonight, 19 July 2018 from 16:00-18:00. Note that it is compulsory for both or at least one parent/guardian to attend this meeting. Your child/wards academic progress will be discussed. Parents will also set academic targets for Term 3. We expect maximum cooperation in this regard as imperative remediation strategies will be discussed. We thank our parents for their cooperation.

 

MPS SCHOOL CONCERT DVD

Our learners put on wonderful performances at our school concert held in April 2018. Parents can now place orders and make payment for the DVD at a cost of R50. The due date for payment has been extended to 31 July 2018. Make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to purchase a treasured memory of your child!

 

MANDELA DAY-PROJECT (20 JULY 2018)

All learners and staff members will get together to clean up the school on Friday, 20 July 2018 in commemoration of Mandela Day. Learners are encouraged to bring buckets, plastic containers, rubber gloves and rag cloths. Learners are required to bring their books for the first five periods of the day. All learners are advised to wear their old clothes suitable for cleaning and working purposes around the school.

 

USE OF THE CORRECT WINTER SCHOOL UNIFORM

Parents are instructed to ensure that their children are attired in the appropriate winter school uniform. No exceptions will be made in this regard. Kindly refer to the school code of conduct in the learner’s school diary for the seasonal school uniform. We thank our parents/guardians for their cooperation in this regard.

 

EDUCATIONAL DAY TRIPS

Grades 4-6 learners have enjoyed their day-trips last term. Payment is now due for Grade 7 learners who wish to attend the educational day trip. Refer below:

OVERNIGHT CAMPS

Kindly take note of the following information pertaining to overnight Camps. We advise parents to adhere to the stipulated due dates for payments to avoid disappointment. Payments for overnight camps can be paid immediately. Camp deposits were due in May 2018. Late payments will not be accepted as arrangements need to be made with campsites in advance. Parents are also urged to ensure that school fees payments are up to date when making camp payments!

All parents are urged to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
