NOVEMBER/DECEMBER EXAMINATIONS TIMETABLE

The final examinations programme will commence on 12 November 2018. Parents are advised to strictly monitor their child’s studies and ensure that all their books are updated beforehand. Kindly note that all learners will be released at 13h00 daily during the examinations period and parents are requested to make the necessary transport arrangements. . STAFFING: CONDOLENCES TO THE BALOYI FAMILY

On behalf of the leadership, staff and learners of Midrand Primary school, we would like to offer our deepest condolences to the Baloyi family on the passing away of Mrs. Maria Baloyi who served as a General Assistant & Food-handler at our school. At this time, we pay tribute to Aunty Maria and we remember her for her caring nature, kind heart and her welcoming smile. May God grant all her family and friends peace, love and joy as we celebrate the life she lived. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace. The school will hold a memorial service today from 13h30-15h30. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, 27 October 2018 in Ivory Park.

MIDRAND PRIMARY LEBONE SCHOOLS’ PLAY FESTIVAL FEEDBACK

Last week Saturday we hosted our fourth Annual Lebone Festival where five schools competed in drama, monologues, poems and story-telling. The Foundation Phase learners from Spark Schools Cresta won the best presentation and this was a dialogue. Two learners from Midrand High School won the best actor and best actress trophies respectively. Midrand Primary school’s drama group won the best presentation and attained a trophy for their play, “The Magic Dustbin” and the same group won the overall best presentation for their choral verse, “Come With Us”. The group consisted of Damela Mojapelo, Onam Sithole, Kuhlekonke Nzimande, Ngwanatheko Nkopodi, Ndivho Hlungwani, Boitumelo Maake, Zizo Sobutyu and Lwandle Ngcobo. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our learners, parents, staff and sponsors for making this even an astounding success.

 

REMINDER: FOUNDATION PHASE SHOW

There will be a Foundation Phase show on the 8th of November 2018. On Cue Theatre will be presenting “Once upon a time…” The cost of the show is R30, payable to the class teacher on or before the 6th of November 2018.

 

CORRECTION: MAD-HATTERS DAY

We will be hosting our annual Mad-Hatters Day on Friday, 2 November 2018 at a cost of R10. We apologise for the typing error. Learners can come dressed in their civvies, but they must wear a creative hat. The best hat per grade will win a prize.

 

REMINDER: PAYMENT OF LOST OR DAMAGED TEXTBOOKS

Parents are urged to make payment for their child’s lost or damaged textbooks as soon as possible. All textbooks are the property of the state. Payment can be made immediately at the finance window.

 

SCHOOL FEES

All parents are urged to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. Use the correct references when making deposits.
