SOUTH AFRICAN MATHEMATICS CHALLENGE (AMESA)

Registrations for the South African Mathematics Challenge are now open for learners from Grade 4 to Grade 7. Learners that are willing to participate in this challenge must pay a registration fee of R25 and the due date for payments is 21 February 2020. Registered learners will write the First Round on 13 March 2020. Learners scoring at least 50% in the First Round qualify to participate in the Second Round which will be written on 27 May 2020.  432 best performing learners from the Second Round will be selected to write the Final Round on 28 July 2020. We encourage learners to participate in this developmental Challenge.

MONITORING OF LEARNER’S HOMEWORK & BOOKS

All parents are instructed to take the time each day to monitor learner’s books as well as assist in completing homework tasks. When parents are actively monitoring their child’s books at home, the learning and teaching process at school becomes more effective. We implore all parents to ensure that homework and classwork activities are completed and that learners manage and utilize their time more efficiently.

 INTERSCHOOLS ATHLETICS COMPETITION 2020

The school’s athletic team will take part in the Interschool’s Competition to be held at Halfway House Primary on 14/02/2020 (tomorrow). We wish our athletes all of the best.

VALENTINE’S DAY

Due to competing school activities, we will commemorate Valentine’s Day on 21 February 2020. Learners can come to school dressed in red and white at a cost of R20, payable to the class teacher.

LATE COMING

Late coming disrupts learners and teachers in the classroom. This creates chaos. Learners and parents are fully aware of our school times. We implore all parents to ensure that learners are dropped off on time every day. The issue of traffic can be overcome by leaving as early as possible. We expect maximum co-operation in this regard.

SCHOOL FEES

We urge parents to take advantage of a massive 10% discount if fees are settled by 31 March 2020. All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
