CLOSURE OF SCHOOL AMID THE PEAK OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS
President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that all public schools will be closed from the 27th of July 2020 and will re-open on the 24th of August 2020. This was done in an attempt to safeguard our learners, staff and parents from the expected peak of the Covid-19 virus. All Grade 7 learners will return to school on Monday, the 10th of August 2020. The normal timetable will be followed. The dates for the phasing in of other grades will be communicated at a later stage. We wish our learners, parents and staff a safe and restful break. We further emphasize that all Covid-19 protocols must be adhered to at home in order to curb the spread of the virus. Stay at home & stay safe!
UPLOADED ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES DURING THE SCHOOL BREAK
Learners are instructed to complete all curriculum based activities at home. Weekly academic activities and memos (corrections) will be posted on our website (www.midrandprimary.co.za – Click on Curriculum – then Weekly Activities). The onus is on both our learners and parents to ensure that learners continue with school work at home. Parents who previously registered for the collection of hard copies can still collect these activities from the security personnel at the gate on Mondays from 8:30-11:00.
