1. FRIDAY (25 SEPTEMBER 2020) IS A NORMAL SCHOOL DAY

Parents and learners are advised that Friday, the 25th of September 2020 is a normal school day. All learners in Group A must report to school and we will follow Day 2 (Tuesday’s timetable). Learners will be released at 13:00. Parents are instructed to ensure that transport arrangements are made accordingly.

2. RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2021

Re-registration forms for 2021 were issued to learners during the week. Parents are requested to urgently fill in and return these forms to school to secure their child’s registration. There are limited vacancies available in each grade. Parents are also requested to pay the re-registration fee of R1000 as soon as possible. We thank our parents who have already returned the form and made payment.

3. HERTITAGE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT MIDRAND PRIMARY SCHOOL

Heritage Day will be commemorated on the 1st and 2nd of October 2020. Learners will be allowed to come to school dressed in their cultural attire at a cost of R10. We encourage all our learners to participate in this event as we celebrate the beautiful and diverse cultures in our country.

4. ASSESSMENT TASKS FOR TERM 3

Parents and learners are advised that there will be no Cycle Test Programme in the InterSen phase this term. However, an Assessment Plan has been issued to all learners and parents are instructed to ensure that learners are adequately prepared for all tests, tasks, assignments and projects in each subject. Substandard work and late submissions will not be tolerated. We advise learners to go the extra mile in all assessment tasks to ensure excellent academic results are achieved this term.

5. REGULAR ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY

Learners are instructed to attend school regularly according to the alternation timetable. Absenteeism without reason is not allowed. Learners who are unwell should remain at home and return to school when they have fully recovered. Parents must inform the school in writing and provide evidence of illness where necessary. In order for teaching and learning to be successful, learners must attend school regularly.

6. SCHOOL FEES

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted. BANK DETAILS:
