- REMINDER: SGB BY-ELECTIONS
An SMS link containing an invitation letter to attend the SGB By-elections was sent to all parents on the 21st of February 2022. The nomination and election of ONE parent member will be conducted. The SGB by-elections will take place on the 15th of March 2022 at 17:30 in the school hall. Nomination forms can be collected from the front office during school hours.
- LTSM TEXTBOOK RETRIEVAL
Textbook retrieval will take place on Monday, the 7th of March 2022. All grade 4 – 7 learners are required to bring all textbooks to school. Parents and learners are advised that there is a R200.00 replacement fee for textbooks that have been misplaced or damaged in any way. Learners must take care of their textbooks and use them in a responsible manner.
- PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT MARCH

- STAFFING:
We would like to welcome Mr. Ian Emmerson who has been appointed by the SGB as a facilities manager. We wish our new colleague all the best in his role at Midrand Primary School.
- LEARNER DISCIPLINE AND THE SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT
We implore all parents to read and explain the school code of conduct to their children. The code of conduct can be found in the learners’ compulsory school diary. Learners must be aware of our school rules, uniform, and values. They must comply at all times. Learners are expected to be well-mannered, and this must be instilled at home. Misconducts will be taken very seriously. Discipline has a direct impact on academic performance. We expect the co-operation of our parents and learners in this regard.
- REMINDER: STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (2022) – VISITORS AT SCHOOL
Parents and guardians are advised that no parent/guardian will be allowed on the school premises without officially making an appointment with a staff member via the school diary. The appointment has to be acknowledged and signed by the staff member. Proof will be required at the gate in order to enter the school premises. Appointments must be of an urgent or necessary nature. Exceptions will be made for uniform sales and school fees payments only. We thank you for your compliance.
- REMINDER: UNIFORM SALES
The uniform shop will operate strictly between 7:30 – 10:30 Monday – Friday as from 31 January 2022.
- REMINDER: COVID-19 PROTOCOLS MUST BE ADHERED TO
Learners are reminded to wash their hands and sanitize regularly. A facemask must be worn at all times, except when eating. Parents of learners who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms should seek medical attention. Learners should report to school when they have recovered.
- SCHOOL FEES
We urge parents to take advantage of a massive 10% discount if fees are settled by 31 March 2022. All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
