  1. CLOSURE OF SCHOOL FOR TERM 1

School will close next week on the 17th of March 2022 and will re-open for Term 2 on the 5th of April 2022. Learners must report to school daily until the last day of school. We wish our staff and learners a safe and enjoyable school holiday. We acknowledge and appreciate the commitment of our staff members, learners, and parents. We look forward to a fruitful term ahead.

  1. LEARNER PROGRESS REPORTS FOR TERM 1

The Department of Basic Education is currently faced with a challenge of awaiting the latest SA-SAMS software patch. One of the main functions of this school administrative software is to generate learners’ progress reports. In light of this, progress report cards will not be available on the last day of school. Parents and learners will be consistently updated on the matter.

  1. REMINDER: SGB BY-ELECTIONS

The SGB by-elections will take place on the 15th of March 2022 at 17:30 in the school hall. The nomination and election of ONE parent member will be conducted. Nomination forms can be collected from the front office during school hours.

On the 07th of March 2022, Mr. Sikhosana, Mrs. Stokes-Thubakgale and dedicated staff members took 30 athletes to the District Athletics competition held at Germiston Stadium, representing our school and the D9 District. We concluded the competition well with 10 athletes proceeding to the Provincial level of the competition. We are proud to announce that our athletes obtained 16 medals (gold-5, silver-7 and bronze-4). All the best to our exceptional athletes for the Provincials.

  1. APPEAL TO PARENTS: LEARNER DISCIPLINE AND THE SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT

We implore all parents to read and explain the school code of conduct to their children. The code of conduct can be found in the learners’ compulsory school diary. Learners must be aware of our school rules, uniform, and values. They must comply at all times. Learners are expected to be well-mannered, and this must be instilled at home. Misconducts will be taken very seriously. Discipline has a direct impact on academic performance. We expect the co-operation of our parents and learners in this regard.

  1. REMINDER: STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (2022) – VISITORS AT SCHOOL

Parents and guardians are advised that no parent/guardian will be allowed on the school premises without officially making an appointment with a staff member via the school diary. The appointment has to be acknowledged and signed by the staff member. Proof will be required at the gate in order to enter the school premises. Appointments must be of an urgent or necessary nature. Exceptions will be made for uniform sales and school fees payments only. We thank you for your compliance.
