  1. CLOSURE OF SCHOOL FOR TERM 1

School will close tomorrow, the 17th of March 2022 and will re-open for Term 2 on the 5th of April 2022. Learners will be released at 10:00am. Transport arrangements must be made. Learners are not allowed to loiter outside after being released. We wish our staff and learners a safe and enjoyable school holiday. We acknowledge and appreciate the commitment of our staff members, learners, and parents. Whilst learners are encouraged to take a break, we encourage them to commit to reading during the holiday. We look forward to a fruitful term ahead.

  1. REMINDER: LEARNER PROGRESS REPORTS FOR TERM 1

The Department of Basic Education is currently faced with a challenge of awaiting the latest SA-SAMS software patch. One of the main functions of this school administrative software is to generate learners’ progress reports. In light of this, progress report cards will not be issued on the last day of school. Parents and learners will be consistently updated on the matter.

  1. ANNUAL SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPH DAY

Our annual school photograph day will take place on the 12th of April 2022 for Foundation Phase learners. InterSen photograph day will take place on the 13th of April 2022. All learners must come to school well-groomed and neatly attired in a white shirt and a school tie. Package prices and further details will be communicated in due course.

  1. ASSEMBLY COMMENCES IN TERM 2

Kindly take note that assembly will commence in Term 2. Foundation Phase (Grades 1-3 & LSEN) assembly will take place on Fridays during school hours. InterSen Phase (Grades 4-7) assembly will take place on Tuesdays at 07:15. This means that learners must be in their classrooms by 07:10. It is compulsory for learners to attend assembly. InterSen learners must wear a white shirt and a school tie for assembly.

  1. VALENTINES BALL PHOTOGRAPHS

Parents and learners are advised that the photographs taken during the Valentines Ball will be available for viewing on our school website from tomorrow (17/03/2022).

  1. WEARING OF A FACEMASK

Parents are instructed to ensure that learners wear their facemasks when leaving home on a daily basis. Learners must have extra facemasks brought to school. The wearing of facemasks remains mandatory, and we appeal to our parents to ensure that learners comply with this protocol.

  1. MPS MARIMBA BAND – JOHANNESBURG ARTS FESTIVAL

We would like to congratulate Mr. Motswe and our Marimba band on achieving an “A” certificate at the Johannesburg Arts Festival this week. Well done and continue to strive for excellence!

  1. REMINDER: COVID-19 PROTOCOLS MUST BE ADHERED TO

Learners are reminded to wash their hands and sanitize regularly. A facemask must be worn at all times, except when eating. Parents of learners who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms should seek medical attention. Learners should report to school when they have recovered.

  1. SCHOOL FEES

We urge parents to take advantage of a massive 10% discount if fees are settled by 31 March 2022. All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
