  1. REMINDER: PARENTS’ EVENING – INTERSEN PHASE

Parents’ evening will take place for InterSen Phase (Grades 4-7) on the 21st of April 2022 from 16:00 – 18:30. Educators will discuss learners’ academic performance, intervention strategies, and general conduct. Parents will set academic targets for their child based on the results they have achieved in Term 1. We look forward to a fruitful meeting this evening as we endeavour to holistically support our learners.

  1. FANTASIA

We are excited to announce that our annual Fantasia will take place on the 6th of May 2022. The entrance fee is R70 payable to class teachers. We look forward to enjoying this fun-filled day with all our learners.

  1. STAFFING

Ms. Ngaleka has accepted a position at another school. We would like to wish Ms. Ngaleka all the best at her new school. Mrs. Mapiravana has taken over Ms. Ngaleka’s Grade 1 class. Ms. Mavundla has taken over Mrs. Mapiravana’s Grade 3 class. All the best to our colleagues in their new grades.

  1. TERM 2 ASSESSMENT PLAN – INTERSEN PHASE

Learners in the InterSen Phase (Grades 4-7) will receive their Term 2 Assessment plan today. It is extremely imperative for parents to regularly monitor the Assessment plan to ensure that learners are suitably prepared for their assessments and due dates. The Controlled Test (Mid-year examinations) timetable will be issued in due course. Tardy and late submissions will not be tolerated.

  1. SEGARONA VIRTUAL COMPETITION RESULTS

We are extremely proud to announce the following results attained at the Segarona Virtual competition by our Music and Visual Arts teams. Music: Marimba – Position 1 at District and Provincial level. Visual Arts: Position 1 at District and Provincial level. Congratulations to Mr. Motswe and Mr. Mashati and their learners on achieving such phenomenal results.

  1. COVID-19 PROTOCOLS MUST BE ADHERED TO

According to the current SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for schools, learners are expected to wear facemasks throughout the day, unless they are eating. This will continue until the DBE updates the SOPs. Thus, learners will continue to wear their facemasks when inside and outside the building. This will be revised once the updated SOPs are received from the DBE. Parents must ensure that learners wear a facemask when leaving home and have extras in their schoolbag. This will be strictly monitored. Learners are reminded to wash their hands and sanitize regularly. Parents of learners who are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms should seek medical attention. Learners should report to school when they have recovered.

  1. REMINDER: ASSEMBLY

Kindly take note that assembly will take place on Tuesdays (InterSen) and Fridays (Foundation Phase). Foundation Phase assembly will take place during school hours. InterSen Phase assembly will take place on Tuesdays at 07:15. Learners must be in their classrooms by 07:10. It is compulsory for learners to attend assembly. InterSen learners must wear a white shirt and a school tie for assembly.

  1. SCHOOL FEES

All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
