  1. FANTASIA

We are excited that our annual Fantasia will take place tomorrow, the 3rd of May 2024. There will be a host of fun rides and entertainment for our learners to enjoy. The entrance fee is R90 payable on the Karri App. EFT payments are also accepted (Reference: Fantasia and your child’s name and surname). No cash will be accepted at school. We look forward to enjoying this fun-filled day with our learners. Learners must bring their books for period 1-4. Not more than R50 should be brought for pocket money.

 

  1. COMPULSORY PARENTS’ MEETING

The newly elected School Governing Body (SGB) invites all parents/guardians to attend a compulsory parents’ meeting which will be held on the 9th of May 2024 at 17:00 sharp in the school hall. Among others, the 2023 academic results will be presented to parents. Key concerns that affect academic performance will be addressed as well as vital support and monitoring strategies for parents. We implore all parents/guardians to avail themselves for this compulsory meeting. A register will be taken on the day.

 

  1. GRADE 4 – 7 DAY TRIPS (EXCURSIONS)

Please take note of the information below pertaining to Day trips. We inform parents that their school fees account must be up to date before making payments for Day trips. Payments must be made on the Karri App or via EFT (Reference: Day trip, grade, your child’s name, and surname).

  1. GRADE 2-7 NEW APPLICATIONS FOR 2025

Applications for new admissions in Grades 2-7 for 2025 commenced on the 15th of April 2024 and will conclude on the 16th of August 2024. Parents are welcome to apply at school between 09:00 and 13:00. Kindly ensure that the compulsory certified documents (not older than three months) are brought to school as listed below. No late applications will be accepted. Required documents: Certified copy of birth certificate, certified copy of parent’s ID’s, recent/latest school report, and municipality account/lease agreement. Please bring a black pen to complete the application form.

 

  1. GAUTENG ARTS FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS COMPETITION

On the 25th of April 2024, learners from our school participated in the Gauteng Arts for Public Schools competition. Results: Foundation phase: Position 2; Intersen phase: Position 2. Congratulations to our learners, Hadassah Rameetse and Ife Khang as well as their Art teacher, Mr. Mashathi.

 

  1. TALENT AFRICA REGIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION

Our Marimba band participated in the Talent Africa Regional Music competition held on the 27/04/2024. Our band obtained High Gold and position one (the highest honour and accolade). The band will perform at the Nationals which will take place at the Barnyard theatre in September this year. We congratulate Mr. Motswe and the band for their sterling performance.
