- URGENT: SMOKING / VAPING DEVICES – A SOCIETAL SCOURGE
We humbly appeal to our parents and guardians to regularly and thoroughly check learners’ school bags and their belongings for vape devices or other stupefying substances. Of late, many learners have been caught with vape devices on the school premises. The onus is on parents and guardians to ensure that they caution learners against this societal scourge. Vape devices act as gateway drugs which have long lasting and damaging effects on the body. We endeavour to ensure learner safety at all costs; thus, numerous guests and health officials have been invited to address learners during the year on the dangers of vaping and smoking. We remind parents/guardians that learners will be suspended from school and attend a disciplinary hearing with the SGB where severe sanctions may be imposed.
