- CYBER BULLYING & THE USE OF CELL PHONES AMONG LEARNERS
Parents and guardians are hereby advised that the number of cyber bullying incidents reported by learners are rapidly increasing. As a school, we do not have any control over what goes on at home after school and on social media. We strongly encourage and advise parents to check the contents of their child’s cell phone on a regular basis. We also implore parents to ensure that learners are not utilizing social media as these apps have age restrictions (18). Please note that the school will not attend to matters pertaining to social media as these occurrences take place at home and after school hours. Parents and guardians must monitor not just their child’s screen-time, but also the contents of their child’s cell phone.
- INTERSEN PHASE (GRADES 4-7) CYCLE TEST PROGRAMME
Parents and learners are reminded about the Cycle test programme that commenced on the 03rd of March 2025 and will conclude on the 14th of March 2025. A copy of the timetable has been issued to learners. In order for learners to produce good results, parents must ensure that learners revise and prepare adequately. Please note that there will be tests for some subjects only, as other subjects will be assessed with other forms of assessment which is prescribed in subject Annual Teaching Plans (ATPs). Teaching and learning will continue as per normal until the end of the term. All the best to our learners for the test programme.
- SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS
Kindly note that learners will receive their photograph sample packs today. Parents must use the information on the package to place their orders online directly with the photography company. Payments will not take place on the Karri app. The cut-off date for payment is the 15th of April 2025.
- DISPOSAL OF THE LOST AND FOUND UNIFORMS
Parents and guardians are hereby informed that all uniforms that have not been collected by the 28th of March 2025 will be disposed of. Uncollected uniforms have been at the lost and found for too long and have been taking up too much of space. We implore parents and guardians to kindly fetch these uniforms.

- FETCHING OF LEARNERS IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL
Parents/guardians and transport operators are hereby notified that all learners must be fetched immediately after school. No learners are allowed on or outside the school premises after school hours, unless there is a valid consent form for extra-murals. We implore all parents/guardians and transport operators to ensure that they comply as we aim to ensure the safety of our learners. The school will not be liable for incidents that occur after school hours. Parents must drop/fetch learners at the gate, except when it is raining. Failure to comply with this resolution by any individual contravenes school rules. Your co-operation is highly appreciated.
- MONITORING OF THE ASSESSMENT PLAN & HOMEWORK
We implore parents/guardians to monitor the assessment plan issued to learners so that all assessment tasks, projects, and assignments are handed in on time. We expect your co-operation in this regard. We urge parents and guardians to monitor learners’ books to ensure that all classwork and homework activities are up to date. Incomplete activities disadvantage learners and create academic backlogs which result in poor academic results. Strict monitoring at home on a daily basis will assist teachers to move progressively with the very lengthy syllabi at school.
- TERM 1 EXTRA MURALS FOR GRADE 4-7 (INTERSEN PHASE)
The pre-season extra-mural programme commenced on 24 February 2025. The extra-mural progammes running this term are soccer, netball, mini soccer, mini netball, chess, visual art, music, and drama. Please ensure that the necessary transport arrangements are made for your child on practice days and that they are collected on time. NO learner will be permitted to participate in ANY extra-mural programme without a signed consent/indemnity form.
- SCHOOL FEES
We urge parents to take advantage of a massive 10% discount if fees are settled by 31 March 2025. All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
