NEWSLETTER

  1. THE FETCHING OF LEARNERS IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL

Parents/guardians and transport operators are hereby notified that all learners must be fetched immediately after school. No learners are allowed on or outside the school premises after school hours, unless there is a valid consent form for extra-murals. We implore all parents/guardians and transport operators to ensure that they comply as we aim to ensure the safety of our learners. The school will not be liable for incidents that occur after school hours. Thank you for your co-operation.

  1. CIVVIES DAY

Learners will be allowed to wear civvies to school on the 28th of February 2025 at a cost of R25 payable only on the Karri app. We remind parents to ensure that learners come to school respectfully and modestly dressed, being fully clothed. Make-up is NOT allowed!

  1. MONITORING OF THE ASSESSMENT PLAN & HOMEWORK

The assessment plan was issued to Intersen Phase (Grades 4-7) last week. We implore parents/guardians to monitor the assessment plan so that all assessment tasks, projects, and assignments are handed in on time. Late or tardy submissions will not be tolerated. We expect your co-operation in this regard. We urge parents and guardians to monitor learners’ books to ensure that all classwork and homework activities are up to date. Incomplete activities disadvantage learners and create academic backlogs which result in poor academic results. Strict monitoring at home on a daily basis will assist teachers to move progressively with the very lengthy syllabi at school.

  1. DROPPING OFF LUNCH/BOOKS/ITEMS AT SCHOOL

We remind parents/guardians that dropping off lunch/meals, books, projects or other items for learners is strictly prohibited. We expect our learners to be responsible and not leave their lunches/meals at home. We also remind parents to ensure that learners are organized and prepared the day before so that they do not forget to bring their books and assessments/projects to school as per their timetables and assessment plans. This is non-negotiable. This has been effected due to learner safety concerns and we expect our parents and guardians to co-operate with the school.

  1. DOWNLOAD AND USE THE KARRI APP

Parents are reminded that we no longer accept on-school cash payments for events. Kindly download the Karri App for easy and secure payments. Get it here for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionicframework.karri&hl=en&pli=1 and here for iOS: https://apps.apple.com/za/app/karri/id1158895725.
