  1. ASSESSMENT PLANS

All learners have been given the Term 2 assessment plans. We implore parents and learners to plan and prepare adequately for upcoming assessments. The Controlled Test programme for the Intersen Phase (Grades 4-7) will commence on the 22nd of May 2024 and conclude on the05th of June 2024. Assessment in the Foundation Phase (Grades 1-3 & LSEN) is continuous; therefore, learners must come to school daily and avoid unwarranted absence. With dedication, hard work, and perseverance, we believe that our learners will improve their Term 1 academic performance. We wish our learners all the best for their upcoming assessments and tests.

  1. MONITORING OF LEARNERS’ CLASSWORK AND HOMEWORK

We urge all parents/guardians to make time to monitor their child’s work on a daily basis. We encourage random monitoring of learners’ books. When learners are aware that their parents are monitoring their books, learners will undoubtedly have their schoolwork updated. Educators leave valuable feedback and communication in learners’ books all the time, which requires the acknowledgement and response of parents/guardians. Ongoing feedback of learners’ performance is also reflected in their schoolbooks. We thank our parents/guardians for honouring this necessitated request.

We hereby remind parents/guardians that they are no longer allowed to drop off lunch or meals for learners at school. Books or assessment task drop-offs are also not allowed, and NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. We expect our learners to be responsible and bring their lunches/meals, books and assessments from home.
