Kindly take note of the school times below. Please note the correction of the Grade 4-7 starting time in the learners’ school diary noted below. Late coming disrupts learning and WILL NOT be tolerated.

NB: Grade 1 learners will be released at 12:00 daily until 24/01/2025. There will be compulsory waiting class for Foundation Phase learners where they will wait TO BE SIGNED OUT by parents/transport operators at the Karee Street gate only. The Karee Street gate remains open until 07:30 daily and will be closed at 14:30 after school. From the 27/01/2025, No parents will be allowed on the school premises to accompany learners to the class. All learners must be dropped off at the gate.
- ENTRANCE & EXIT FOR GRADE 1-3 & LSEN LEARNERS
Parents and guardians of Grade 1-3 & LSEN learners are reminded that they MUST make use of the Karee Street gate ONLY in the mornings and after school. We thank you for your co-operation.
- INTERHOUSE ATHLETICS
Interhouse Athletics will take place on the 31st of January 2025. Learners will come to school wearing their house colors (t-shirt), together with PE shorts and their plain black or white takkies. Learners should not bring their school bags unless there is inclement weather. Learners must bring a healthy lunch and a water bottle. Learners are reminded to put on sunscreen lotion and bring a cap for sun protection. Interhouse will run during normal school times. Team colors: Lions – Red; Tiger – Blue; Leopard – Green; and Puma – Yellow.
- COMPULSORY PARENTS’ EVENING – GRADES 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 AND LSEN
Please take note that the Grade 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and LSEN compulsory information sharing meeting will take place in your child’s classroom on 30 January 2025 at 16:00 sharp. Parents to be seated at 15:50. Only one parent/guardian is permitted to attend due to space constraints. Parents of Grade 4 learners do not need to attend the meeting. Thank you for your co-operation.
- COMPULSORY PARENTS’ EVENING – GRADE 7 (SENIOR PHASE)
Please take note that the compulsory Grade 7 information sharing meeting will take place on 04 February 2025 at 16:00 sharp. Parents to be seated in the school hall by 15:50. Note that we require both parents/guardians to attend this pivotal meeting as your child/ward commences with the Senior Phase. Thank you for your co-operation.
- BULLYING AWARENESS SHOW – BY ON CUE THEATRE
On the 18th of February 2025, On Cue theatre will be hosting a show on Bullying awareness at Midrand Primary school at 08:30am for Foundation Phase and at 10:30 for Intersen Phase. This show costs R50 pp payable on the Karri App. The show promises to be educational and memorable as we attempt to eradicate the plight of bullying.
- SCHOOL LOCKERS FOR INTERSEN PHASE LEARNERS (GRADES 4-7)
Lockers are available to Intersen Phase learners at a cost of R70 for the year. Parents/guardians should use the Karrie app to make payments. No cash will be accepted. Due date for payment: 28 February 2025.
- LTSM LOAN FORMS
Grade 4-7 learners received an LTSM loan form that must be completed by parents and returned to the class teacher by learners. Textbook loan forms were due on the 20th of January 2025. Textbooks were collected from learners who did not submit their completed and signed loan forms and will be returned to them upon submission of the loan form. We expect maximum co-operation in this regard.
- COMPULSORY TEXTBOOK DEPOSIT FOR ALL GRADE 4 LEARNERS
Parents are reminded to pay a refundable textbook deposit of R500 for their children on or before 31 January 2025.
- OUTSTANDING STATIONERY ITEMS
Parents must ensure that learners attend school with the stationery items indicated on the stationery list. All stationery items must be labelled with learners’ details. Compulsory items to be submitted to GRADE 4-7 class teachers: Typek paper, boxes of tissue, rolls of toilet paper, hand sanitizer and liquid hand soap. Parents who did not submit stationery items have until tomorrow, the 24th of January 2025 to submit ALL outstanding stationery items.
- SCHOOL FEES
We urge parents to take advantage of a massive 10% discount if fees are settled by 31 March 2025. All parents are requested to ensure that their school fees account is up to date. School fees can be paid at the school’s finance office using debit or credit card or by direct deposit into the school’s bank account. No cash will be accepted.
