- MONITORING OF HOMEWORK AND THE ASSESSMENT PLAN
We implore parents and guardians to monitor learners’ books to ensure that all classwork and homework activities are up to date. Incomplete activities disadvantage learners and creates academic backlogs which result in poor academic results. Strict monitoring at home on a daily basis will assist teachers to move progressively with the very lengthy syllabi at school. We also urge parents/guardians to monitor the assessment plan so that all assessment tasks, projects, and assignments are handed in on time. Late or tardy submissions will not be tolerated. We expect your co-operation in this regard.
- LEARNER SAFETY: SCHOLAR PARTROL
We urge all parents, guardians, and transport operators to acknowledge the importance of our scholar patrol staff members, learners, and security personnel. The purpose of scholar patrol is to ensure learner safety. Therefore, we urge all parents and transport operators to obey all instructions given by the scholar patrol team. Parents/guardians who do not comply will be reported to the SAPS in line with the National School Safety Framework. We expect your co-operation in this regard.
- DROPPING OFF LUNCH/BOOKS/ITEMS AT SCHOOL
We hereby inform parents/guardians that they will no longer be allowed to drop off lunch or meals for learners at school. We expect our learners to be responsible and bring their lunches/meals from home. We also remind parents to ensure that learners are organized and prepared the day before so that they do not forget to bring their books and assessments/projects to school as per their timetables and assessment plans. This is non-negotiable. This has been effected due to learner safety concerns and we expect our parents and guardians to co-operate with the school.
- PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO LEARNERS’ CLASSES
All parents/guardians are hereby informed that they must drop off learners at the school gate in the morning. Parents/guardians are not allowed to accompany learners to their classes.
