NEWSLETTER
- WELCOME TO TERM 3!
On behalf of the SGB and SMT, we would like to extend a hearty welcome to our staff, learners, and parents to the third academic term of 2026. We wish to congratulate all our learners who have met the minimum promotional requirements in Term 2, and to our learners who did not, we encourage you to work towards improving your results this term. There will be numerous activities taking place this term so we encourage our parents and learners to check weekly newsletters as well as to adhere to the assessment plan that will be issued soon. We wish our staff, learners, and parents a successful term ahead!
- STAFFING MATTERS
We congratulate the following staff members on their respective appointments as follows: Mr. N. S. Govender (Acting Deputy Principal Foundation Phase), Ms. B. N. Gumede (Acting DH Foundation Phase), and Mrs. G. P. Zono (Acting DH for Grade 7 and Humanities). We wish them all the best in their temporary roles. We also welcome Mrs. Coetzee, a Grade 3 educator who is replacing Mrs. Spies and we wish her all the best on her appointment at our school.
- TERM 3 COMPULSORY PARENTS’ EVENING
Kindly take note that the Term 3 compulsory Parents’ Evening will take place separately for Foundation Phase and Intersen Phase. Foundation Phase Parents’ Evening (Grades 1-3 & LSEN) will take on the 30TH of July 2026 strictly from 16:00–18:00. Intersen Phase Parents’ Evening (Grades 4-7) will take place on the 06TH of August 2026 strictly from 16:00–18:00. This is due to competing priorities. Parents will have the opportunity to view learners’ assessments, to see/discuss cumulative defaults, to set academic targets for Term 3 as well as to discuss their child’s performance with subject teachers.
- UNCOLLECTED REPORT CARDS
According to National Protocol for Assessment Grades R – 12, it is a legislative requirement that every learner should be given feedback on their academic performance. It is regrettable that some learners have not yet received this feedback because their progress reports were not collected by their parents/guardians at the end of Term 2. Kindly fetch uncollected report cards the soonest, so that you may have a meaningful engagement with teachers during Parents’ Evening.
- TERM 3 PYJAMA DAY
Our annual Pyjama Day will take place on Friday, the 31ST of July 2026. Learners can come to school dressed snuggly in their WINTER pyjamas at a cost of R40 payable only on the Karri App. NO CIVVIES ARE ALLOWED ON THIS DAY! We encourage our learners not to miss out on the fun!
